John Sandlos and Arn Keeling have written a post for the blog of the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society (the site is called Seeing the Woods). The post describes a concept we have developed called the zombie mine (sorry, it doesn’t involve actual zombies hauting a mine, but it does refere to other kinds of “haunting” effects from abandoned mines).
